Why book direct with BVR?

Can I book an entire home or an individual suite?

It depends on the home you choose. Some BVR homes are available as the entire home only, while others may also offer individual suites. Each home's page shows what's available.

What's the security deposit, and when is it charged and refunded?

A refundable security deposit is required for every BVR stay. Your deposit amount is based on the details of your reservation and is shown during booking. The deposit is collected seven days before arrival. After checkout, BVR may take up to 7–10 business days to review the stay and initiate the refund; the time it takes to appear in your account after that depends on your bank or card issuer.

What do I need to provide before I get entry codes?

Before your entry codes are released, BVR must have your required identification, completed traveler registration, and security deposit. All three must be received before arrival.

How does Concierge work, and how is it different from Experiences?

Experiences are things BVR has already curated for you to choose from. Concierge starts with you — tell BVR what you have in mind, and we help shape it around you.

How do Experience requests work? Am I charged right away?

BVR Experiences are specific curated activities we've selected to help our community connect with the destination they've chosen. You're only charged after all the details have been confirmed and emailed to you for approval and payment.

How is payment for my stay separate from Experiences or Concierge?

Your home reservation is paid separately from anything arranged through BVR Experiences or Concierge. Experience and Concierge charges are handled separately once the details have been confirmed and approved.

Why does a Casa Bossa Nova Entire House reservation require an Owner Agreement?

Casa Bossa Nova is BVR's signature home — our most exclusive home. Because of that, there are details the owner wants every traveler to understand clearly before booking. The Owner Agreement makes sure that happens before you commit.

Can I book BVR Experiences if I'm not staying with BVR?

Yes. BVR Experiences are open to any traveler, whether or not you're staying in a BVR home.

Do I have to be staying with BVR to use Concierge?

Accepted Answer

No. BVR Concierge is available whether or not you're staying in a BVR home. Tell us what you have in mind, and we'll let you know what can be arranged and any applicable cost.

What's BVR's cancellation policy?

More than 30 days before check-in: full refund. 15–30 days before check-in: 50% refund. 14 days or less before check-in: non-refundable. Reservations during major holidays, Carnaval, and New Year are non-refundable regardless of when you cancel.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 3:00 PM local time. Check-out is at 10:00 AM local time.

Is there a minimum age to book?

The primary traveler and all adult travelers must be at least 25 years old. Families traveling with their children are welcome, even when some family members are under 25.
